Meet the president of Potomac Construction Group DC, Matt Shkor.
Matt Shkor is the President of Potomac Construction Group of DC (“PCGDC”), which is a boutique developer of luxury urban infill residential properties in the DC Metro Area. Mr. Shkor has nearly two decades in residential construction and development experience in Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Chicago.
He has successfully built and sold high end single family homes, town homes, residential subdivisions, historic condominium conversions, ground up condominium projects and commercial spaces. Marquis projects include Il Palazzo, the former Italian Embassy, which included the entitlement, Historic approval and rezoning to allow for 135 units and 135,000 sf of residential use which sold to Millcreek Development for $16.5M; Fairlawn Estates, the revitalization and sellout of a stalled 19-Home gated subdivision in the District of Columbia; and The Gibson – 3205 Georgia Avenue, a 31-unit condominium project in the rapidly escalating Petworth market.
Through this full project life-cycle leadership experience, Matt has developed a unique expertise and ability to navigate acquisitions, entitlement, construction, and sellout of small, medium and large-scale developments in nearly every portion of the District. Matt is a D.C. area native. Mr. Shkor has developed a stellar reputation for inventory optimization and utilization of superior unit finishes to achieve above market sales valuations. The foregoing are necessary precepts to satisfying growing number of elite and enlightened buyers entering the DC Metro Area.
